WorkShops & Training

  • Practical, hands-on sessions that help families and support staff see the home as a tool for regulation and independence. Available in English and Spanish, in person or virtual.

The Regulated Home: Sensory Design and Autonomy

Your home can add to the stress, or it can help bring calm. In my workshops I share what I’ve learned from more than 20 years of design and from working with neurodivergent people in their own homes: how light, sound, color, order and layout affect regulation, and the simple changes that make everyday life easier. Practical, hands-on and in plain language, in English or Spanish.

What to Expect

  • Each workshop runs about 2 hours, in person or online. You don’t just listen: you work on your own home with the FLOW worksheet, and you leave with one concrete change to try that same week.

THE FLOW METHOD

FLOW is the step-by-step method I created to turn any home into a space that supports the people who live in it. It doesn’t start with decorating. It starts with noticing.

F — Find the friction

L — Link person, task and space

O — Optimize cues and layout

W — Watch behavior change
